DIFFICULTY

Scanning Difficulties
TWAIN Errors appear while
scanning.
Software Difficulties
Cannot perform '2 in 1'
printing.
Cannot print when using
Paint Brush.
Cannot print when using
Adobe Illustrator.
Thick line and thin line
appear alternately.
There are some dense lines.
When using ATM fonts,
some characters are missing
or some are printed in the
same place.
When using Power Point or
Excel, hatch pattern is not
what you are expecting.
Printing is slow.
Colour enhance is not
working correctly.
Make sure the image is not corrupted and that it has a .JPG extension
that is compliant with Exif version 2. (See PhotoCapture Centre™
Requirements in Chapter 12.)
Make sure the Brother TWAIN Driver is selected as the primary
®
source. In PaperPort
, click File Select Source, highlight the
Brother TWAIN Driver and click Select.
Check if the paper size setting in the application and in the printer
driver are the same.
Try setting the Display setting to '256 colours'.
Try to reduce the printing resolution.
Turn OFF 'Bi-Directional Printing' from the 'Quality/Colour' tab in
the printer driver.
Turn ON 'Reverse Order' from the 'Paper' tab in the printer driver.
If you are using Windows
'Start' menu. Open'Brother XXXX' properties. Click 'Spool
Setting' on the characters 'Details' tab. Select 'RAW' from 'Spool
Data Format'.
Open the 'Quality/Colour' tab in the printer driver, and change the
'Document' type to 'Photo'.
In the Quality/Colour tab of the Print dialog box, select Auto in the
Document section.
If the image data is not full colour (Such as 256 colour) in your
application, Colour enhance does not function. Please use at least
256 colour data with the Colour enhance feature.
