Gigabit Ethernet SFP Modules

The 40-Port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) line card and the Gigabit Ethernet ports of the 2-Port 10 GE + 20-Port
GE combination line card use SFP modules. The Gigabit Ethernet laser optical transceiver module is a
field-replaceable small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module that plugs into the receptacle (or cage)
located on the line card and provides the Gigabit Ethernet optical interface
has two optical interfaces—laser transmit (TX) and laser receive (RX)—and an electrical interface (to
the line card).
The SFP+ modules used on the 16-Port 10GE oversubscribed line card are enhanced SFP modules.
