Checklist for Configuring the Cisco Unified IP Phone 8961, 9951, and 9971 in Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Task
Purpose
Add and configure the phone by completing the

required fields in the Phone Configuration window.
Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*) next to
the field name; for example, MAC address and device
pool.
Adds the device with the default settings to the Cisco
Unified Communications Manager database.
Add and configure directory numbers (lines) on the

Users can change speed-dial settings on their phones
by using Cisco Unified CM User Options.
Configure Cisco Unified IP Phone services and assign

Users can subscribe to the IP Phone service
