Place a Video Call
The Cisco IP Phone 8845 and 8865 support video calls. On an audio call, open the shutter on the video camera
to create a video call. For a video call, both parties require a phone with a camera.
Procedure
Step 1
Enter a number when the phone is idle.
Step 2
Lift the handset or press New call, Headset
Step 3
Open the video camera shutter.
Stop Video
During a video call, you can stop your video camera from broadcasting when you need visual privacy. Audio
is not affected.
Procedure
Step 1
Close the camera shutter by turning the shutter counterclockwise.
Step 2
Open the camera shutter by turning the shutter clockwise to continue video.
Hide or Show Video
Your system administrator sets up the default softkey (either Show Video or Hide Video) and the default view
(video hidden or video displayed).
When you engage the Hide or Show Video feature, the displayed video will move to the background and be
displayed with a blurred effect.
Procedure
Step 1
To hide the video, press Hide Video.
Step 2
To show the video, press Show video.
