4.2. Installation on a DIN rail

All FM3200-series, FM4200-series, FM3500 Endo, FM4500-series and
FM4800 Fiber transceivers are capable of being mounted on DIN rails
(DIN-standardized metal rails widely used for mounting circuit breakers
and industrial control equipment on equipment racks). To do this, the DIN
mounting plate included with the transceiver unit must be installed.
To install the included DIN mounting plate on the radio transceiver unit, do
the following steps:
1.
Place the transceiver unit on a flat surface so that the unit's
mounting lug faces upward.
2.
Place the included DIN mounting plate over the plate mounting
holes (below). Note that a FM4500 Mobi radio is shown for
demonstration.
3.
Screw the DIN mounting plate to the main body of the transceiver
using the supplied machine screws (below).

IMPORTANT
Note the orientation of the DIN mounting plate in
relation to the radio (above). The folded end of the
plate faces upward and away from the unit's
mounting lug.
