If clogging is not cleared
Go back to step 1 and execute Cleaning (Light).
After executing Cleaning (Light), execute the
next higher level of cleaning.
When nozzles remain clogged even after
cleaning the print head several times

Changing the Printer Mode

Change the Printer Mode in the following situations.
❏ When White ink is not used for a specified period
of time
❏ When White ink is used again

Important:
When changing Printer Mode, all of the White ink
in the ink tube is drained and replaced with
cleaning liquid. If White ink will not used for less
than two weeks, we recommend continuing to use
the printer in White ink mode.
Preparation
Prepare the following according to the color mode
being changed to. When the ink is running low for
anything except for White and the cleaning ink supply
unit, or the maintenance box is running out of free
space, prepare new ones.
Color ink mode -> White ink mode
One WH ink supply unit
White ink mode -> Color ink mode
One cleaning ink supply unit
Changing method

Check that the power is on, and then press
(menu) - General Settings - Printer Settings -
Printer Mode.
B
Select the mode to which you want to switch.
C
Check the on-screen messages, and then press
Start.
Follow the on-screen instructions to perform
the procedure.
Press How To... on the screen to view the work
procedure.
When it is complete, the processing screen on
the control panel changes to the settings screen.
