Managing the LAN Settings
Configuring the Virtual Networks for Voice and Data
NOTE
TIP
Unified Communications UC 320W Administration Guide
Use the LAN module to configure the virtual networks for voice and data, and to
set up your wireless networks.
Refer to these topics:
•
Configuring the Virtual Networks for Voice and Data, page 61
•
Configuring the Wireless Network, page 63
•
Port Forwarding, page 64
•
Network Summary, page 65
Use the LAN page to configure the virtual networks (VLANs) for your data traffic
and voice traffic. The use of VLANs improves network performance and helps to
maintain Quality of Service (QoS) for IP telephone calls. The default address
scheme for the Data and Voice VLANs should be sufficient in most cases, but you
can change these settings if your existing network requires a different address
scheme.
To view the Voice VLAN or Data VLAN settings, click the button. Then enter the
settings, as described below.
•
If you change the Data VLAN address, you will need to use the new LAN IP
address to re-launch the configuration utility.
•
If you configured the Cisco UC 320W to operate as a DHCP client on the
Data VLAN, the Data VLAN section is unavailable.
Opening this page: From the navigation pane, choose LAN Settings > LAN.
