Dial Number On-Hook

• You can dial on-hook, without a dial tone (predial). To predial, enter a number, then go off-hook by

Dial Number On-Hook
On-hook dialing allows you to enter a phone number before getting a dial tone and lift the handset to complete
the call.
Your system administrator can enable your phone to check your Call History records and display the closest
matches while you are entering the number. For example, if your Call History has the entry 987-6543, this
entry displays as you enter the digits 987. When the desired number displays, you can select it to place the
call to that number.
Procedure
Step 1
Enter or speed-dial a phone number.
The On-Hook Dialing screen displays.
Step 2
Press Call. If you are specifying an Abbreviated Dial, enter the abbreviated number and then press Speed
Dial.
Step 3
Lift the handset, or press Speakerphone or Headset.
Step 4
If you hear a tone and see the message Enter Authorization Code, enter the Forced Authorization
Code (FAC) given to you by your system administrator.
Step 5
If you hear a tone and see the message Enter Client Matter Code, enter the Client Matter Code
(CMC) given to you by your system administrator.
If authorized by the system, the call proceeds.
