Section 3 - Configuration
To create a firewall rule, configure the parameters as described below:
Name:
Enter a name for the firewall rule.
Action:
Use the drop-down menu to specify if the router should Allow or
Deny traffic matching the firewall rule.
Interface:
Use the drop-down menus to select the Source and Destination
interfaces for the Firewall Rule
Use the IP Address fields next to each Interface drop-down
menu to specify the IP address ranges for the Source/Destination
interfaces.
The first host in the IP address range should be entered in the top
field and the last host in the IP address range should be entered in
the field beneath for both the Source/Destination intefaces.
Protocol:
Use the drop-down menu to select the protocol that will be used for
the firewall rule (TCP, UDP, ICMP, or ALL).
Port Range:
Enter the range of ports that the firewall rule will apply to.
The first port in the port range should be entered in the top field
and the last host in the port range should be entered in the field
beneath.
Schedule:
Use the drop-down menu to select the schedule for the Network
Filter rule. Click the New Schedule button to bring up the "Schedule
Webpage" to configure the new schedule.
