Function The memory device is used to monitor the life of the developer cartridge in the way that the machine reads and writes information (e.g.page count) to the memory device equipped in the developer cartridge. When the life is reached, the memory device becomes nonfunctional to prevent the deterioration of image/text quality and machine damages.
