Thread sizes and tightening torques for fastening bolts
The general tolerance for the tightening torque is 10%. The tightening torque is based on a
friction coefficient of μ = 0.14.

Servicing the brake
Note
When using a safe holding brake (LS brake), for maintenance, carefully comply with BA
2332 ‑ Geared motor with holding brake for safety-related applications.
10.8.1
Wear of spring-operated brakes
The friction lining and the mechanical components of the brake are subject to wear due to their
inherent function. For safe and fault-free operation, brakes must be checked, adjusted or
replaced at regular intervals.
The important influencing factors have to be quantified in order to calculate the service life
of the rotor and the brake and determine the stipulated maintenance intervals. Here, the
most important factors are the work as a result of the frictional force, the speed at the start
