EMU01331 Power Trim/Tilt Switch The power trim/tilt adjusts the motor angle in relation to the transom. The power trim/tilt switch is located on the remote control lever grip. Bow up When the boat is on plane, a bow-up atti- tude result in less drag, greater stability and efficiency. This is generally when the keel line of the boat is up about 3 to 5 degrees. When trimmed out, the boat may have more tendency to steer to one side or the other.
EMU01200 TILTING UP/DOWN If the engine will be stopped for some time, or if the boat is moored in shallows, the engine should be tilted up to protect the propeller and casing from damage by collision with obstructions, and also to reduce salt corrosion.

EMU00404 CHECKING BATTERY (for Electric start model) Battery electrolytic fluid is dangerous; it contains sulfuric acid and therefore is poi- sonous and highly caustic. Always follow these preventive mea- sures: 8 Avoid bodily contact with electrolytic fluid as it can cause severe burns or permanent eye injury.
