      The Dell Printer driver package provides an appropriate port-sharing mechanism that is used by Dell printer and scanner drivers. The drivers address their devices via so-called ports. The current status of any port can be viewed via the Ports Configuration. Post sharing prevents you from accessing one functional block of the printer device, while another block is in use.

      You can print many different types of files on the Dell printer device directly from the command line interface using the standard CUPS way. The CUPS lpr utility allows you do that, but the driver's package replaces the standard lpr tool with a much more user-friendly Dell LPR program.

Save the box and the plastic bag for shipping. NOTE: If toner comes into contact with your clothing, wipe the toner off with a dry cloth and wash your clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric.
