FTP Printing for HP Jetdirect 310x external print server/Internet connector for USB Note: Not applicable to 175x Introduction FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a basic TCP/IP connectivity utility to transfer data between systems. FTP printing is a way to use FTP to send print files from a client system to an HP Jetdirect-connected printer.
  • Page 110 Using standard FTP, a control connection is opened by the client to the FTP server on the HP Jetdirect print server. FTP control connections are used to exchange commands between the client and the FTP server. The HP Jetdirect print server supports up to four control connections (or FTP sessions) simultaneously.
