- Page 16 Switches (HP JetDirect 300X and 500X) The HP JetDirect 300Xand 500X Print Servers have configuration switches that should be used only if the print server fails to link on the network. The factory-default setting of all 3 switches down will suit most installations.

- Page 18 Hardware Installation To install the HP JetDirect external print servers, you need to complete these steps. Verify that your printer parallel port(s) work properly. ● Connect the print server to the network and printer(s) and plug ● in the print server.
