Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine
from the normal operating position.

Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage
the blade control switch.
2. Move the motion control levers outward to the
park position, stop the engine, remove the key, and
wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. Raise the seat to access the internal components.

- Page 5 Maintenance Removing and Installing the Engine Cover 1. To remove the engine cover, pull down and forward on the retaining straps to free them from the cover rod (Figure 7). Lift the cover away. 2. To install the engine cover (Figure 6) make sure the tab in the rear of the cover mates with the slot in the guard and pivot the cover forward and down.
