Key Finder Overview

Buttons on the car stereo head unit and remote control unit with the same name have the same function.

  1. +/- button
  2. BAND button
  3. MUTE button
  4. LIST/ENTER button
  5. buttons
  6. FUNCTION button
  7. AUDIO button
  8. SOURCE button
  9. PAUSE button
  10. DISPLAY button
  • Depending on the car stereo, there may not be some buttons with the same names as those on this unit.
  • This unit cannot be used for a car stereo that does not accept a remote control unit.

Battery

Remove the cover on the back of the remote control and insert the battery with the plus (+) and minus (–) poles pointing in the proper direction.

  • Use only one CR2025 (3V) lithium battery.
  • Remove the battery if the remote control is not used for a month or longer.
  • In the event of battery leakage, wipe the remote control completely clean and install a new battery.

  • Keep the battery out of the reach of children. Should the battery be swallowed, immediately consult a doctor.

  • Do not recharge, disassemble, heat or dispose of the battery in fire.
  • Do not handle the battery with metallic tools.
  • Do not store the battery with metallic materials.
  • When disposing of used batteries, please comply with governmental regulations or environmental public institution's rules that apply in your country/area.
  • Always check carefully that you are loading battery with its (+) and (–) poles facing in the proper directions.

Using the remote control

Point the remote control in the direction of the front panel to operate.

  • Some head units may not be operated properly with this unit.
  • Do not store the remote control in high temperatures or direct sunlight.
  • The remote control may not function properly indirect sunlight.
  • Do not let the remote control fall onto the floor, where it may become jammed under the brake or accelerator pedals. Also, do not leave the remote control free inside the car.

  • Handling the cord on this product or cords associated with accessories sold with the product may expose you to chemicals listed on proposition 65 known to the State of California and other governmental entities to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
  • Do not allow this unit to come into contact with liquids. Electrical shock could result. Also, this unit damage, smoke and overheat could result from contact with liquids.
  • Do not operate this unit while driving the car. Or it might result in a traffic accident.
  • If any of the following troubles occurs, immediately stop the use of this unit and consult with a dealer from whom you purchased this unit:
    • The unit is smoking.
    • The unit is emitting abnormal odor.
    • A foreign object has entered the unit.
    • Liquid has been spilled on or into the unit. If you continue to use this unit without a remedy, the unit may be damaged badly, which leads to a serious accident or fire.
  • Do not disassemble or modify this unit. To do so may cause a fault.
  • The volume of the car stereo should be so adjusted that you can hear a loud sound occurring outside your car. If any happening sound outside your car is deafened by music from the car stereo when you are driving, this condition can be a factor of being involved in a traffic accident.
