damage to property from occurring. The meaning of these symbols is
as explained below. Be sure to read the following descriptions carefully
before reading the main text.

which, if ignored or improperly followed, might result in bodily injury or
damage to property.
Examples of symbols used herein
This symbol is used to mark cautions (and warnings) con-
taining instructions which must be followed.
This symbol is used to mark items containing instructions
about actions which are prohibited (i.e., which must never be
performed).
This symbol is used to mark items containing instructions
or other content requiring the user to take certain actions.
Warning
When installing your plasma monitor, be sure to have the
monitor installed by the retail store where it was purchased
and be sure to have it installed correctly in accordance with
the instructions given herein. Improper installation may
cause the plasma monitor to tip over, and this in turn might
result in bodily injury.
Be sure to follow the assembly instructions in the order they
are given and to firmly screw in all screws in their
designated locations. Failure to follow instructions might
cause the monitor to tip over, fall down, become damaged,
or result in other unforeseen accidents after the plasma
monitor has been installed.
Never alter any of the provided components, as doing so
might result in the plasma monitor tipping over, which might
in turn result in bodily injury.
Never use any damaged parts or components, as doing so
might result in the plasma monitor tipping over, which might
in turn result in bodily injury. If you do find any damaged
parts or components, contact the retail store where the
product was purchased for assistance.
Never attach this stand to any plasma monitor other than
the designated monitor(s), as doing so might result in the
plasma monitor tipping over, which might in turn result in
bodily injury.
Never place or use the product upon an unstable platform,
a non-level surface, or in an otherwise non-stable location,
as doing so might result in it falling or tipping over, which
might in turn result in bodily injury. Also never place or use
the product in a moving vehicle, as the resulting shocks and
vibrations might result in it falling or tipping over, which
might in turn result in bodily injury.
When moving the stand and plasma monitor while they are
still attached together, never move the stand and monitor
by holding the stand alone, as doing so might result in the
plasma monitor tipping over, which might in turn result in
bodily injury.
Warning
Never place any heavy objects on the power cord or allow
the cord to become caught underneath the plasma monitor,
as doing so might result in the cord becoming damaged,
which might in turn result in fire or exposure to electrical
shock. Care should also be taken if the cord is placed
underneath a rug or some other form of covering, as this
might result in heavy objects inadvertently being placed on
top of the cord.
When selecting a location for placement, be sure to select a
location with a flat, smooth, and stable surface of sufficient
strength to hold up against the weight of the stand and
plasma monitor. Failing to do so might result in the product
tipping over or in the occurrence of some other form of
accident.
Caution
Never allow the air vents of the plasma monitor to become
blocked in any way. If the air vents become blocked, it might
result in the interior of the monitor becoming overheated,
and that in turn might result in fire. The plasma monitor
should therefore never be placed in a tight location with poor
ventilation, covered with a cloth or any other type of
covering, or otherwise prevented from obtaining sufficient
ventilation.
Never place the plasma monitor in front of heating or cooling
exhaust vents or in a location subject to heavy vibrations, as
doing so might result in fire or exposure to electrical shock.
Never place the product in a location where it would be
exposed to excessive dust or humidity or to steam or smoke
from frying oil (e.g., next to a stove or humidifier), as doing
so might result in fire. Also never use the product outdoors,
as doing so might result in fire or exposure to electrical
shock.
When installing the plasma monitor, be sure to leave a
sufficient amount of space around the monitor as indicated
in the accompanying diagram. Failing to leave a sufficient
amount of space around the monitor might result in the
interior of the monitor becoming overheated, and that in turn
might result in fire.

When attaching a plasma monitor to the stand, be sure to
hold the plasma monitor in place when doing so, as failing to
hold the monitor in place might result in it tipping over, which
might in turn result in bodily injury.
When attaching the plasma monitor, turn off the power to the
monitor and any connected devices and remove the power
cord from the power socket before doing so.
When attaching a plasma monitor to a cabinet with casters,
lock the casters into place before doing so. Failing to lock
the casters into place might result in the stand or monitor
tipping over, and this in turn might result in bodily injury.
Always be sure to take steps to prevent the stand or plasma
monitor from tipping over after attaching the monitor to the
stand. Failing to do so might result in the monitor falling
down, tipping over, or otherwise result in some form of
accident occurring. To ensure safety, be sure to work with
three or more people when installing, attaching, or moving
the plasma monitor.
Never place the plasma monitor in a location where it would
be exposed to excessively high or low temperatures, as
doing so might result in product failure.
