    Overview This guide describes the configuration procedures required for the Spectralink 84xx Series for interoperability with BroadWorks. This includes the following models: Spectralink 8440  Spectralink 8441  Spectralink 8452  Spectralink 8453  The 84xx Series is a wireless SIP phone that uses the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to communicate with BroadWorks for call control.

    Interoperability Status This section provides the known interoperability status of the Spectralink 84xx Series with BroadWorks. This includes the version(s) tested, the capabilities supported, and known issues. Interoperability testing validates that the device interfaces properly with BroadWorks via the SIP interface. Qualitative aspects of the device or device capabilities not affecting the SIP interface such as display features, performance, and audio qualities are not covered by interoperability testing.
