Parameters 4.4 Flutter monitoring Flutter monitoring Description Flutter monitoring is a process control function for digital input signals. It detects and reports unusual process control signal patterns, for example, an excessive number of input signal changes between 0 and 1 within a monitored period. This period is referred to as the monitoring window.

Displays and interrupts 5.3 Diagnostics for changeover contact sensor type Diagnostics for changeover contact sensor type Diagnostics for change-over contact sensor type With the change-over error diagnostics, the switchover between two input channels is checked. If there is a signal change in a change-over contact channel and there is no signal change at the other contact change-over channel after the tolerated switchover time, the diagnostics module returns a change-over error.

Technical specifications Cycle time The cycle time describes the period of time in which the signals from the inputs are acquired and processed. The cycle time of the I/O module is 4 ms. Minimum pulse length In order for a pulse or an edge transition to be reliably detected by the I/O module or the partner module (at IO redundancy failover), the signal status must be active for at least for the time period of the minimum pulse length.
