BACKGROUND The C60 may be used on systems with breaker-and-a-half or ring bus configurations. In these applications, each of the two three-phase sets of individual phase currents (one associated with each breaker) can be used as an input to a breaker fail- ure element.

0 ms The C60 is equipped with up to 3 independent serial communication ports. The faceplate RS232 port is intended for local use and has fixed parameters of 19200 baud and no parity. The rear COM1 port type will depend on the CPU ordered: it may be either an Ethernet or an RS485 port.

  • Page 74 MODBUS SLAVE ADDRESS ports each C60 must have a unique address from 1 to 254. Address 0 is the broadcast address which all Modbus slave devices listen to. Addresses do not have to be sequential, but no two devices can have the same address or conflicts resulting in errors will occur.
  • Page 75 The C60 supports the Distributed Network Protocol (DNP) version 3.0. The C60 can be used as a DNP slave device con- nected to a single DNP master (usually either an RTU or a SCADA master station). Since the C60 maintains one set of DNP data change buffers and connection information, only one DNP master should actively communicate with the C60 at one time.
  • Page 76 DNP VOLTAGE SCALE FACTOR Input points that are voltages will be returned with values 1000 times smaller (e.g. a value of 72000 V on the C60 will be returned as 72). These settings are useful when Analog Input values must be adjusted to fit within certain ranges in DNP masters.
  • Page 77 The web pages can be accessed by connecting the UR and a computer to an ethernet network. The Main Menu will be dis- played in the web browser on the computer simply by entering the IP address of the C60 into the "Address" box on the web browser.
  • Page 78 The C60 supports the IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. The C60 can be used as an IEC 60870-5-104 slave device connected to a single master (usually either an RTU or a SCADA master station). Since the C60 maintains one set of IEC 60870-5-104 data change buffers, only one master should actively communicate with the C60 at one time.
