Push the control PWB unit into the main unit.

Secure the unit with the two screws.

Fit the interface cable into the right cabinet rear cover.
7)
Attach the right cabinet rear cover to the main unit.
At this time, check that the four hooks are properly fitted to the
main unit.

Secure the right cabinet rear with the screw.

Attach the cover to the main unit.
• Reconnect the cables that have been removed in step B to the
original positions of the control PWB unit.
F. Turn ON the power of the main unit

Insert the power plug of the main unit into the power outlet.

G. Preparation for enabling the MX-PB11
1)
To enable the MX-PB11, enter the product key by the key oper-
ation of the copier machine.
a)
Turn on the power. (The product key input menu is dis-
played.)
b)
Enter the product key with numeric key (10-key), and
touch [Registration] key.
2)
After completion of entry of the product key, turn OFF the
power switch on the operation panel. Turn OFF the main
power switch, then turn ON the power switch and the main
power switch again.
3)
Use the attached CD-ROM to install the driver.
For installing procedures, refer to the software setup guide.
Installation of the driver must be performed by the user or the
serviceman with assistance or the user.
NOTE: If any trouble occurs during installing procedures, cancel
the trouble.

H. User data restoring procedures
The data saved in the PC in the preliminary arrangement are
restored to the SRAM, the EEPROM, and the HDD.
When this option is installed to a machine which has been used by
a user, be sure to backup the user data as shown below.
When this option is installed to a new machine, the procedure
below is not required.
1)
Use the device cloning function to restore the user setting data
which were backed up to the PC or USB memory to the SRAM
and the EEPROM.
Use the device cloning function on either the system setting or
the Web Page menu to restore the data.
2)
Use the storage backup function to restore the user setting
data which were backed up to the PC or USB memory to the
HDD.
Use the device cloning function on either the system setting or
the Web Page menu to restore the data.
I. Deletion of backup data
Delete the user data backed up to the PC or the USB memory.
When a PC or USB memory which belongs to the serviceman is
used for user data backup, be sure to delete the data after comple-
tion of work.
