    HOW DOES THIS COOKTOP COMPARE Your new cooktop has electric coil surface units or a radiant glass cooktop. If you are used to cooking with gas burners or other types of electric cooktops, you will notice some differences when you use electric coils or a radiant glass cooktop.
  • Page 9 General Information About Radiant Surface Units The radiant cooktop features heating units beneath a smooth glass surface. The surface units are shown by outlines on the glass. Before you use the cooktop for the first time, clean it with cleaning cream. This helps protect the top and makes clean-up easier.

    • Always use a broiler pan and grid. They are designed to minimize smoking and spattering by trapping juices in the shielded lower part of the pan. • The oven door should be open to the broil stop position. • Make sure you turn the OVEN TEMP knob all the way to the BROIL position.
