Flooring Under the Range
Your range, like so many other household items, is
heavy and can settle into soft floor coverings such
as cushioned vinyl or carpeting. When moving the
range on this type of flooring, it should be installed on
a l/4-inch-thick sheet of plywood (or similar material)
as follows:
Leveling the Range
Use a 1 %" open-end or adjustable wrench to equally
back out the four legs. The flanges (rims) below the
sides of the cooktop must be raised above the top of
the countertop. Carefully slide the range into its
installation space. Observe that it is clearing the
countertop. Then place a spirit level or a glass
measuring cup partially filled with water on one of the
oven shelves to check for levelness.
How to Remove Packaging Tape
To assure no damage is done to the finish of the
product, the safest way to remove packaging tape
adhesive on new appliances is an application of a
household liquid dishwashing detergent, mineral oil
or cooking oil. Apply with a soft cloth and allow to
soak. Wipe dry and then apply an appliance polish to
thoroughly clean and protect the surface.
NOTE: The plastic tape must be removed from
the chrome trim on range parts. It cannot be removed
if it is baked on.
