Line is in loopback mode. This mode
occurs, for example, when you install
the line and the carrier is testing the
signal.
You can also set loopback mode by
pressing the LpBk switch. LpBk is a
recessed momentary-contact switch
that sets loopback mode in this
sequence:
Port A on

Ports A and B off.
Port configured but not enabled.
T1/E1 Line Error Condition
Off
"Red" = Complete loss of signal.
Possible causes: out-of-frame errors,
mismatched framing format (e.g., one
side using SF and the other using
ESF), or disconnected line.

"Red" in loopback mode.

"Yellow" = Problem in transmit path;
i.e., the remote connection has
detected a problem on this line.
