Setting the exposure mode NOTE The exposure mode setting does not apply when you are recording video clips. The Exposure Mode dial lets you seled between five exposure modes for the still pictures you take. The exposure mode setting determines how the camera selects the tSO speed, F-number (aperture), and shutter speed for the given scene brightness.
