Server controls, LEDs, and power
This section describes the controls and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and how to turn
the server on and off.

The following illustration shows the controls and LEDs on the front of the server.

Press this button to release a CD or DVD from the CD or DVD drive.
When this LED is lit, it indicates that the CD or DVD drive is in use.
Connect a USB device to these connectors.
When this amber LED is lit, it indicates that a system error has occurred. A
LED on the system board might also be lit to help isolate the error.
Press this button to release a diskette from the diskette drive.
When this LED is flashing, it indicates that the hard disk drive is in use.
When this LED is lit, it indicates that the diskette drive is in use.
Press this button to turn the server on and off manually. A
power-control-button shield comes with the server.
