Front components Component Description ● Battery light On: A battery is charging. ● Blinking: A battery that is the only available power source has reached a low-battery condition. When the battery reaches a critical low-battery condition, the battery light begins to blink rapidly.
Right-side components Component Description Optical drive Reads an optical disc. Security cable slot Attaches an optional security cable to the computer. NOTE The security cable is designed to act as a deterrent, but it may not prevent the computer from being mishandled or stolen.
Left-side components Component Description Vent Enables airflow to cool internal components. CAUTION To prevent overheating, do not obstruct vents. Use the computer only on a hard, flat surface. Do not allow another hard surface, such as an adjoining optional printer, or a soft surface, such as pillows or thick rugs or clothing, to block airflow.
Bottom components Component Description Battery bay Holds the battery. Battery release latches (2) Release the battery from the battery bay. Hard drive bay Holds the hard drive.
