Performing with a Backing Track

Your CP5 or CP50 can also play a backing track as you play the keyboard. Three different types of backing track are
available — namely, Preset Drum Patterns, User Songs, and Wave files — and a different one can be selected for each
Performance. The following will describe how these tracks can be put to use. For more details regarding the backing
tracks themselves, refer to Song Setting Area from the Internal Design of the CP5 & CP50 section of the Reference
Manual pdf document.

Playing a Backing Track

Using the Performance screen, select the Performance that you would like to play (page 23).

Press the [PAGE
] button to move to Page 2.
The name of the currently selected backing track is displayed here.

Press the [
] (Play / Pause) button to start playback of the selected backing track.

The backing track will continue to play as you perform on the keyboard.

To stop the backing track, press the [ ] (Stop) button.
Selecting & Setting a Backing Track

If you wish to select a Wave file for use as the backing track, ensure that the file in question has already be stored on
a USB flash-memory device, and then plug the device into the stage piano's USB TO DEVICE port.

Press the [SONG SETTING] button.
