INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
- Remove battery cover door, gently pull the ribbon to slide battery holder out.
- Install 4 AA batteries according to the polarity diagrams.
- Using the guide notch, slide the battery holder into the back of fan, the battery holder will only fit one way do not force.
- When fan is plugged in via USB or your own electrical adapter, fan batteries will not be drained.
- Always use new batteries in your fan, do not mix old and new batteries.
For improved unit performance use lithium batteries. See Recyclers in your area for proper disposal of batteries.
HOW IT WORKS
- Insert barrel plug of USB cable into connector located on rear surface of the fan or install 4 AA batteries (not included).
- If choosing the USB option, insert USB plug into the USB port of your computer or other USB-based charging devices.
- To operate your fan, locate the power button on the front of the unit. Press the button to turn the fan on, press it again to turn the fan off.
- If choosing USB power, this fan can be used with a standard USB Electrical Power Adapter (120V AC to USB power adapter, not included) that can be plugged into an electrical outlet.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
- Be sure your fan is off.
- Unplug the fan before cleaning.
- This fan does not disassemble.
- Use only a soft cloth to gently wipe the fan clean.
- DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing.
- DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
- For storage, remove the batteries, clean the fan carefully as instructed and store your fan in a cool dry place.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Use this fan only as described in this manual. Other use not recommended may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug the USB plug from your computer when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another, and before cleaning.
- Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
- Do not place the fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.
- Do not use this fan near water, immerse in water, or expose to rain.
- Avoid contact with moving fan parts.
- The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be hazardous.
- Do not operate if the fan housing is removed or damaged.
- Do not store fan with batteries in place.
THIS IS NOT A TOY
When running this fan from your computer, it is best to keep your computer connected to an outside power source. Running the fan on the computer's battery power only may drain the battery.
