    Loading and Unloading the Battery This camera must be used with dedicated rechargeable lithium-ion battery (PDR-BT3). This battery is merely called battery in this Instruction Manual. You cannot use other types of battery. Charge the battery before using the camera. Before starting Confirm that the power of the camera is off.

    Charging the Battery You may also use the AC adapter when using the camera indoors for a long period of time or when transferring images to a personal computer, for example.     Taking Photographs You can take photographs while looking through the LCD monitor. Before starting Load the battery, insert the SD card, then open the lens cover. Turn the power on. POWER Use the LCD monitor to compose the picture. The LCD monitor shows an image captured through the lens. If the LCD monitor is not bright enough, adjust the brightness of the monitor.
