Infrared Remote Controller The remote control unit for this VCR is a universal remote controller. As such, some of its buttons are not used to operate this VCR. When a video cassette without an erasure prevention tab is inserted, the VCR starts playback automatically. VCR-off Playback When the VCR is off, an inserted video cassette can be played back by pressing [PLAY]. Automatic Rewinding When the tape reaches its end during recording (except for timer recording) or playback, it will automatically be rewound to the beginning. -

The AC power cord has not been connected. Connect the AC power cord to the main AC power. [The VCR display is illuminated but the VCR will not operate.] – The VCR is in the timer mode. Press [TIMER (TIMER REC)] to operate the VCR manually. - Page 37 – Tracking is not correct. Adjust the tracking. See page 35. – The TV has not been tuned to the VCR. Tune the TV to the VCR.
