2U1N Configuration Equipment Installation 2U1N configuration installation guidelines Assuming installation is into an empty rack, always begin component installation at the bottom of the cabinet and work upward. Install components at the lowest available space for that component type. To avoid personal injury and/or damage to the equipment, do not attempt to lift and install the enclosure into a rack without a mechanical lift and/or help from another person.
2U1N Configuration Equipment Installation Procedure 1. Install the slide rails in the cabinet. 2. On both sides of the cabinet, extend the ball bearing and inner rail fully out of the cabinet until they lock in the extended position. Note Mounting posts on each side of the server rest in vertical slots in the inner slide rail.

2U1N Configuration Equipment Installation Installing the server on the rails in the cabinet CAUTION The enclosure is heavy and should be installed into or removed from a rack by two people. To avoid personal injury and/or damage to the equipment, do not attempt to lift and install the enclosure into a rack without a mechanical lift and/or help from another person.

Slide the server into the cabinet so the inner rails extends over the plastic guide blocks and the first part of the ball bearing retainer assemblies.

Each cabinets slide consists of the part that is installed in the cabinet (slide rail) and the part that is mounted on the side of the server (inner rail).
2U4N Configuration Equipment Installation 2. Install the slide rails in the cabinet with the hardware provided. 3. Position one of the inner rails on the mounting studs on corresponding side of the replacement chassis. 4. Slide the inner rail forward until it clicks, which locks it in place on the server.
