Installation and operation
Installation must only be carried out by trained and skilled personnel. Please follow your local
regulations concerning installation.
!
Operation of the devices is not intended for personal, family or household use and applications.
The devices are supplied by SELV circuits (Safety Extra Low Voltage) in which hazardous voltages are not
generated. Thus, special safety measures are not required.
You can connect only one detector per Remote Indicator. In LSN periphery the sum of all cable lengths between
LSN devices and Remote Indicators as well as between LSN interface modules and conventional devices must not
exceed 500 m.
To put the Remote Indicator into operation:
Current has to be externally limited to value of max. 30 mA to avoid damage and malfunctions to the
Remote Indicator.
!
1.
Wire the Remote Indicator to the detector base and mount it on the surface.
2.
Program the required properties and the configuration with the remote programming software RPS.
There are no restrictions of using the devices in commercial or industrial areas.
The temperature range as described in the table below must be followed.
