Focus Settings
The Focus Mode can be set to Auto, Manual, and Semi-auto.
Auto:
The camera focuses automatically at any time according to objects in the scene.
Semi-auto:
The camera focuses automatically only once after panning, tilting and zooming.
Manual:
In Manual mode, you need to use
Min. Focus Distance: This function is used to limit the minimum focus distance.
Day/Night Switch
The Day/Night Switch mode can be set to Auto, Day, Night, Scheduled-Switch, and
Triggered by Alarm Input.
Auto:
In Auto mode, the day mode and night mode can switch automatically according to the
light condition of environment.
Day:
In Day mode, the camera displays color image. It is used for normal lighting conditions.
Night:
In Night mode, the image is black and white. Night mode can increase the sensitivity in low
light conditions.
Scheduled-Switch:
In Schedule-Switch mode, you can set the time schedule for day mode as shown in Figure
6-28. The rest time out of the schedule is for night mode.
Triggered by Alarm Input
The switch is triggered by alarm input. You can set the triggered mode to day or night.
Backlight Settings
BLC (Back Light Compensation)
If there's a bright backlight, the subject in front of the backlight appears silhouetted or
dark. Enabling BLC (back light compensation) function can correct the exposure of the
subject. But the backlight environment is washed out to white.
