Calibrating the Printer Colors
If your printed colors are not what you expect, you may want to
calibrate the printer colors. This function is used to compensate for
differences in intensity between various video monitors.
When you click on the Calibrate the Printer Colors box, you see this
screen:
You can select a gamma value of 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, or 2.2. The
higher gamma values result in more contrast between light and dark
colors.
Saving Power
To save power, you can automatically turn off the printer if it is idle for a
specified period of time. When you click the Save Power box, you see
this screen:
Click on the Save Power drop-down list to select Disabled, after 10
minutes, after 30 minutes, or after 60 minutes.
Sending a print job to the printer automatically turns the printer
back on.
