When the corporate directory is configured, you can query contact information about all enterprise members on eSpace 8850. Album functions, you can view pictures stored in the local memory of eSpace 8850 or an external storage device in presentation mode.

NOTE l The sleep function is enabled by default on eSpace 8850 and the sleep interval is 30 minutes. l If you do not perform any operations in a specified period, eSpace 8850 automatically turns off the backlight of the screen and enters the sleep mode.
NOTICE eSpace 8850 can synchronize its time with the NTP server after connecting to an IP network. When eSpace 8850 is connected to a PSTN, the system time cannot be saved upon a phone restart. From the home screen, tap The Settings screen is displayed.
4.8 Phone Lock. 3.7 Phone Info The Phone Info screen displays the status of eSpace 8850. If eSpace 8850 is faulty, check the device information before you seek help from the service provider. From the home screen, tap The Settings screen is displayed.
Tap Select. Enter the registration password 1590, and tap Select. The cordless handset is registered successfully, and the Settings screen of eSpace 8850 displays that the cordless handset is registered. You can tap Release to deregister the cordless handset.
4.1 Login Registration 4.1.1 Log In If no account is registered with the eSpace 8850, the login screen is displayed when the phone is started. You can perform the following operations to log in to the home screen of the phone: Power on and then start the phone.
4 Phone Features 4.2 Managing Contacts 4.2.1 Managing Favorites You can add a maximum of 12 contacts as favorites to the home screen of eSpace 8850. Adding a contact as favorites on the Home Screen From the home screen, tap The Contacts screen is displayed.
NOTE The search results are displayed in real time. 4.2.2.2 Managing Contacts eSpace 8850 can store a maximum of 2000 contacts. Each contact can have a maximum of 4 numbers saved. Table 4-3 describes icons in the detailed contact information.
All contacts will be deleted! 4.2.2.3 Managing Groups The eSpace 8850 allows you to set a maximum of 20 groups and add contacts to different groups. The default Blacklist and All groups cannot be deleted or edited. You can call blacklisted contacts but cannot receive calls from the blacklisted contacts.
4.3.3 Making a Call on the Corporate Directory Screen If eSpace 8850 is connected to a network and the corporate directory is configured, you can make a call on the Corporate Directory screen. For details, see 6.3 Corporate...
4.4 Answering or rejecting a Call 4.4.1 Answering a Audio call When there is an incoming audio call, eSpace 8850 rings, the line button LED blinks in red and displays the screen shown in Figure 4-3.
Tap Reject to reject the call. Tap Ignore to ignore the call. 4.4.2 Answering a Video call When there is an incoming video call, eSpace 8850 rings, the line button LED blinks in red and displays the screen shown in Figure 4-4.
Tap Ignore to ignore the call. 4.5 PSTN Calls You can insert the phone line into the TEL interface of the eSpace 8850. When the eSpace 8850 is connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), you can make PSTN calls by using the eSpace 8850.
In the voice and video call status, you can switch between the handset, hands-free, and headset modes and display the current voice output mode in the status bar. . eSpace 8850 is switched to the hand-free mode. The status bar displays Switch to the handset mode. In handset mode, you can pick up the handset to switch eSpace 8850 to the handset mode. The status bar displays Switch to the headset mode.
To return the day mode, tap NOTE eSpace 8850 takes about 3 seconds to adjust the screen brightness when you switch among the day and night modes. During the period, the screen will not respond to any touch operations. 4.6.8 Changing to Use the Cordless Handset (Sold Separately) During a call, you can change to use the cordless handset to answer the call.
After eSpace 8850 is locked, you can use the functions such as switching from a audio call to a video call, changing to use the cordless handset, and switching answer mode that are only available during a audio call or video call.
4.9.4 Mini Keyboard If the text to be entered contains only lower-case letters, digits, or symbols, you can use the mini keyboard provided with eSpace 8850. As show in Figure 4-10. Figure 4-10 Mini Keyboard...
The call forwarding function is available only for the current account. For subsequently registered accounts, the call forwarding function must be enabled again. l CFA, CFB, CFNA, and CFO services can be enabled simultaneously on the eSpace 8850. 5.4 Call Transfer You can use the call transfer function to transfer a call to a third party and then quit the call. eSpace 8850 supports the following call transfer modes: blind transfer, semi-consult transfer, and consult transfer. Blind transfer: Tap Transfer during a call. After dialing the number, tap Finish to transfer the call to the destination number.
To use the local conference function, ensure that at least two lines have been configured for your account and at least one line is idle. l The eSpace 8850 supports only three-party audio conferences. Establishing a Three-Party Conference For example, user A wants to hold a three-party conference with user B and C. User A can establish a three-party conference by tapping the Conf or Join button.
– In local side mode, you can set local side DND mode to Do not ring for incoming call or Reject for incoming call. Missed calls are displayed in the call history. – In server side mode, eSpace 8850 does not receive any calls, and no missed calls are displayed in the call history.

Enabling the Voicemail Function Before enabling the Voicemail function, enable the call forwarding function on the phone and set call forwarding to the Voicemail. The eSpace 8850 supports the CTVMU, CTVMB, CTVMNR, and CTVMO functions. For details, see 5.1 Call Forwarding.
6.1 Name and Department Display If information about a calling party is saved in the local address book or corporate directory, eSpace 8850 displays the calling party's information (including the number, name, and department) on the screen, as shown in Figure 6-1.
