    Basic setup Setting the language This TV/DVD can display the on screen language in English, Spanish or French in the TV mode.     Basic playback Playing a disc This section shows you the basics on how to play a disc. CAUTION Keep your fingers well clear of the disc slot when disc is loading or unloading. Neglecting to do so may cause serious personal injury.

In such case, you may reduce the SHARPNESS with the Picture control adjustment menu (see page 28).

    Pre-recorded DVDs are automatically set to these standards. There are many different types of recordable disc formats (including CD-R containing MP3/WMA files). Given the fact that technology in this area is still maturing, Toshiba cannot guarantee that all genre of recordable discs will produce optimal playback quality. The technical criteria set out in this owner’s manual are meant as a guide only.

    Others Troubleshooting Use the following check list for troubleshooting when you have problems with your unit. Consult your local dealer or service outlet if problems persist. Be sure all connections are properly made when using with other units. SYMPTOMS POWER TV/DVD does not operate.

    Others Reception disturbances Most types of television interference can be remedied by adjusting the height and position of the VHF/UHF antenna. Outdoor antennas are recommended for best results.
