DGD Alarm

DGD Alarm
Default Severity: Minor (MN), Non-Service-Affecting (NSA)
Logical Objects: TRUNK
The Differential Group Delay (DGD) alarm is raised on the NCS 1002 when the value of the differential
group delay read by the pluggable port module exceeds the configured threshold value. You can configure
the threshold value using the controller optics R/S/I/P dgd-high-threshold command in the config mode.
Clear the DGD Alarm
Step 1
Verify the value of the differential group delay threshold of the NCS 1002 using the show controller optics R/S/I/P
command.
Step 2
If the value is not within the threshold range, configure the differential group delay threshold using the controller optics
R/S/I/P dgd-high-threshold command in the config mode. The range is from 0 to 18000 (in units of 0.01 ps).
Step 3
If the value is within the range of the differential group delay threshold, contact Cisco TAC.

EQPT-FAIL-SLICE Alarm
Default Severity: Critical (CR), Service-Affecting (SA)
Logical Objects: Slice
The Equipment Fail (EQPT-FAIL) slice alarm is raised on the NCS 1002 when any component or device
within the slice fails. The alarm is tagged as Not Service Affecting (NSA) if the device is not in the service
path. The failed device is on a port that is not provisioned.
Clear the EQPT-FAIL-SLICE Alarm
Step 1
Reload the host using the hw-module location 0/RP0 reload command.
Step 2
If the alarm does not clear, do a traffic-impacting system reload using the hw-module location all reload command.
