    2. Loosen the thumbscrews to either side of the faceplate for the appliance. 3. Open the faceplate. 4. Remove the packing foam from the inside of the faceplate. 5. Close the faceplate. 6. Tighten the thumbscrews. Appliance installation Attention: Allow the enclosure assembly to acclimate to room temperature before installation. Store the disk drives at room temperature for at least 2 hours before use.

    Procedure to replace a drive in the operating system/data RAID array. Before you begin In the Manager 3105 Appliance, the OS/data drives are in a RAID 5 configuration. This allows for one drive failure with no loss of data. Replacing a failed drive will automatically start the RAID rebuilding process.
