Unpacking

Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose
of it please do so according to any local regulations.

Operating Your Remote Control

1. Slide the back cover up to open the battery compartment of the remote
control.
2. Insert two AAA size batteries (supplied).
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Install the batteries correctly by following the polarity (+ and -)
indications in the battery compartment.

Front Speakers
Front speakers carry primarily music and sound e ects.
Centre Speaker
In surround mode, the centre speaker carries most of the dialog as well as
music and e ects.
Rear Speakers (Surround Speakers)
The rear speakers' overall sound balance should be as close as possible to
the front speakers. Proper placement is vital to establish an even sound
eld.
Subwoofer
A subwoofer is designed to reproduce powerful low bass e ects
(explosions, the rumble of spaceships, etc.).

1. Speaker wires are colour-coded to match the terminals. Connect the
speaker wire from the back of each speaker to the corresponding colour
terminal at the back of the unit.
2. Press down the tab to open the terminal and insert the wire.
3. Release the tab to lock the wire in the terminal.

Basic Operation

Start Up
1. Press the ON/STANDBY button on the DVD player or the
STANDBY/ON button on the remote control to turn the system on.
2. Press the SOURCE button repeatedly on the unit or the DVD button on
the remote control to select DVD mode.
3. Turn on the TV and select the video input connected to the DVD player.
Adjusting the Speakers Volume and Balance
Subwoofer Speaker
Press the SUBWOOFER button on the DVD player or on the remote control
and then press the
/
button on the remote control to select the
desired setting: soft / balance / strong / powerful.
Surround Sound
Press the SURROUND button on the remote control and then press the
/
button on the remote control to select the desired setting: 5.1 ch /
Stereo.
If the AUX IN or AUDIO IN audio signal is mono, you may not
receive audio on all speakers.
Level
Press the LEVEL button on the remote control and then press the VOL+ / –
button on the remote control to adjust the value.
