Digital zoom can be selected from smart zoom or precision digital zoom. When digital zoom is set, the zoom method switches from optical zoom to digital zoom when the zoom scale exceeds 3×.

    Shooting close-ups — Macro The close-ups (Macro) recording mode is used when zooming up subjects such as flowers or insects. Setting the zoom all the way to the W side lets you shoot subjects at distances as close as 8 cm. However, the minimum focus distance varies according to the zoom position.
