Chapter 1 Installing the Devices
Connecting the VEN401 Access Point to a
Residential Gateway or Router
Complete the following steps to connect the VEN401 Access Point to a residential
gateway or router.
1
Connect the 12 VDC Power Supply plug to the wall power outlet. Use only the
power adapter provided with this product.

Connect the power jack to the power port on the VEN401.
3
Connect one end of the RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the VEN401.
4
Connect the other end of the RJ-45 Ethernet cable to an available Ethernet port on
your residential gateway or router.
