Before you proceed Take note of the following precautions before you install the server management board to the remote server system. • Unplug the server system power cord from the wall socket before touching any component. • Use a grounded wrist strap or touch a safely grounded object or to a metal object, such as the power supply case, before handling components to avoid damaging them due to static electricity.

LAN port for server management The ASUS server motherboards that support the ASMB2 comes with two LAN (RJ-45) ports: one for network connection and the other for server management. For easy identification, the LAN port for server management is the LAN port near the VGA port.
