    Even the iR2020 cannot always detect the size of the original if it is a non standard paper size, such as a book. In this case, specify the size at which you want to scan the original.

    Canceling Send Jobs You can cancel a send job using the stop key or the system monitor key. Using the Stop key Follow the procedure below to cancel sending documents during a transmission. During transmission, press [Stop]. If you are using Direct Sending, an alarm sounds, and the transmission is canceled immediately.

    Dialing Methods This machine provides you with four methods to specify the fax destination. Regular Dialing You can specify a destination using the numeric keys. One-Touch Speed Dialing You can specify one or more destinations by pressing the desired one-touch speed dialing key on the control panel.

    Regular Dialing You can dial the fax number of a recipient using the numeric keys. NOTE To make dialing easier, register frequently used numbers in the one-touch speed dialing keys, or with a coded speed dialing code. (See Chapter 2, “Storing Destinations,” on p.

If you insert a pause within the fax number, the letter <p> is displayed between the numbers. If you insert a pause at the end of a fax number, the letter <P> appears.     Address Book Address book enables you to look up the recipient’s name and retrieve the number registered for one-touch or speed dialing or coded speed dialing. This feature is convenient when you know the name of the destination(s) but cannot recall the one-touch speed dialing key or the coded speed dialing code where the number is registered.

    Storing Destinations The fax numbers that you frequently dial can be registered in the memory of the machine as one-touch or coded speed dialing keys/codes. Speed dialing enables you to save yourself the effort of dialing every time it is used. You can also register destinations in a one-touch or coded speed dialing key/code for group dialing.

Address book Enables you to look up the other party’s name and retrieve the number registered to the one-touch speed dialing, coded speed dialing, or group dialing. This feature is convenient when you know the other party’s name but cannot recall the speed dialing number where the number is registered.

The destination and length of the pause differ depending on the system.
