REAR BRAKE LEVER AND PEDAL
ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
Before adjusting the rear brake, the rear
brake linings should be inspected.
Proper lever and pedal free play is essential
to avoid excessive brake drag.
Always adjust both the brake pedal and the
brake lever whenever adjusting the rear
brake.
1.Place the machine on a level place.

Front brake lever free play
Loosen the locknut 1 and turn the
adjuster 2 clockwise to release the ten-
sion in the front brake cable.
Visually check the cable joint 3 in the
equalizer 4 to verify it is horizontal.
If not horizontal, turn both adjuster 5
(Front hub — left and right) until the cable
joint 3 is horizontal.
Make sure that the both brakes (left and
right) have some slight drag by lifting the
front wheels off the ground, then spin the
wheels.
Turn the adjuster 2 clockwise or counter-
clockwise
until
proper
obtained.
Free play is increased.
Free play is decreased.
Tighten the locknut.
