Self-diagnosis warning indicator
The self-diagnosis warning indicator indicates a malfunc-
tioning sensor, disconnected coupler, broken lead, etc.,
when detected by the self-diagnosis device of the snow-
mobile.
The self-diagnosis warning indicator 1 and warning light
2 warn the rider of the above problems by flashing con-
tinuously. If necessary, ask a Yamaha dealer for further
details. (See page 5-9 for warning indicator and warning
light flash patterns.)

If the self-diagnosis warning indicator and warn-
ing light flash continuously during operation,
there may be some problem with the electrical
circuit, lead couplers, etc. (See page 5-9 for warn-
ing indicator and warning light flash pattern num-
bers 1–6.)

Stop the engine and allow it to cool off. Then,
check that the wire harness couplers are con-
nected properly in the engine compartment.

If the self-diagnosis warning indicator and warn-
ing light flash after the engine has been started,
note the flash pattern, and then have a Yamaha
dealer inspect the snowmobile as soon as possi-
ble.
