In Case of Power Failure In case of a power failure, you can light the gas surface burners on your range with a match. Hold a lit match to the burner, then push in and turn the control knob to the LITE position.

Most fish and tender cuts of meat can be broiled. Follow these directions to keep spattering and smoking to a minimum. Your range has a compartment below the oven for broiling. Both the oven and broiler compartment doors must be CLOSED during broiling.

To Turn Off the Clock Display If you have several clocks in your kitchen, you may wish to turn off the time of day clock display on your range. Touch the Clock pad once to turn off the time of day display. Although you will not be able to see it, the clock maintains the correct time of day.

If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip device is re-engaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this precaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury.
After cleaning, dry them thoroughly by putting them in a warm oven for a few minutes. Don’t put the grates back on the range while they are wet. When replacing the grates, be sure they are positioned securely over the burners.

Provide adequate clearances between the range and adjacent combustible surfaces. These dimensions must be met for safe use of your range. The location of the electrical outlet and pipe opening (see Gas Pipe and Electric Outlet Locations) may be adjusted to meet specific requirements.
To check if the bracket is installed and engaged properly, carefully tip the range forward. The bracket should stop the range within 4 inches. If it does not, the bracket must be reinstalled. If the range is pulled from the wall for any reason, always repeat this procedure to verify the range is properly secured by the anti-tip bracket.

The National Electrical Code requires the use of GFCI’s in kitchen receptacles installed to serve countertop surfaces. Performance of the range will not be affected if operated on a GFCI-protected circuit but occasional nuisance tripping of the GFCI breaker is possible.

No adjustments are required for natural gas. If the range is connected to LP gas, contact the person who installed your range or made the conversion. If pilot flame does not stay lit, repeat this step.

With the oven bottom removed, properly adjusted flames should have approximately 1″ blue cones and, if range is supplied with natural gas, should burn with no yellow tipping. (With most LP gas, small yellow tips at the end of outer cones are normal.) Flames should not lift off burner ports.

Check Ignition of Surface Burners Operation of all cooktop and oven burners should be checked after pilots have been lighted (on some models) and the range and gas supply lines have been carefully checked for leaks. Standing Pilot Models Select a top burner knob and simultaneously push in and turn to HI position.
Remove the broiler drawer or kick panel. See the Care and cleaning of the range section. The front leveling legs can be adjusted from the bottom and the rear legs can be adjusted from the top or the bottom.
The bracket should stop the range within 4 inches. If it does not, the bracket must be reinstalled. WHEN ALL HOOKUPS ARE COMPLETED Make sure all controls are left in the OFF position.
