GETTING READY
Turning on the machine
Memo
Before turning on the machine, be sure to
attach the embroidery unit to it. If the
embroidery unit is not attached, the machine
does not operate. (For details, refer to
"Attaching the Embroidery Unit" (page 19).)
Prepare the included power supply cord.

Make sure that the machine is turned off (the
main power switch is set to "

Insert the plug of the power supply cord into a
household electrical outlet.

When the machine is turned on, the needle
will make sound when it moves; this is not a
malfunction.

Turning off the machine
When you have finished using the machine, turn it
off. In addition, before transporting the machine to
another location, be sure to turn it off.

If a power outage occurs while the machine
is being operated, turn off the machine and
unplug the power supply cord. When
restarting the machine, follow the necessary
procedure to correctly operate the machine.
