    Before installing the system unit into a rack, complete the following steps: 1. Read the Rack safety notices (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/systems/scope/hw/topic/ p7hbfl/racksafety.htm). 2. Plan where to place the system units. Place the larger and heavier system units in the lower part of the rack.

    Figure 9. Release latches and server 4. Remove the shipping bracket that is on the left side of the rear of the system before you cable it. To remove the shipping bracket, complete the following steps: a. Remove the two screws (A), as shown in Figure 10. Figure 10.

To attach the other side of the support arm to the backside of the slide rail, slide the bracket (B) into the left slide rail until the spring-loaded latch snaps into place, as shown in Figure 14.
